A poem to dance (or art)

I love you
I crack my skin
and bleed my feet
for you,
for your passion,
for your indulgence

I love you
but, you break me
you push me
and beat me
you put me down
when I’m at rock bottom

I love you
I gave you my time
I gave you my life
you took my body
and my youth
and you sucked my greatness
into your tornado of temptation

You betray me
and slay me, but
I love you
because when I look out
to the blinding light
and the sea of elegance,
when I hear the beutiful
melody of their hands
and their cheers,
I am whole again
